yeah that's a game changer. i tried one where the support was only email and it took them 3 days to get back to me about a simple withdrawal question. 24/7 chat with real people who can actually fix things is a must for me now.
 
the tax question is a good one, i talked to an accountant friend about it, basically, if you cash out more crypto than you deposited, that's a capital gain,

you're supposed to report it, i just keep screenshots of all my transactions to be safe, it's a pain but better than getting in trouble with the cra

this is the best advice. i always do a test with like 20 bucks. if they pay out fast and without asking for a million documents, then i consider putting more in. saved me from a couple of shady places that held my small withdrawal for 'verification' for weeks.

yeah that's huge. i tried one where the support was only email and it took them 3 days to get back to me about a withdrawal issue. 24/7 chat that's actually helpful is a green flag for sure. makes you feel like they actually care about keeping players.

this is what stops me from playing more seriously. it's such a grey area and a pain to track. i just play for small amounts for fun now because i don't want to deal with the paperwork. wish there was clearer guidance.
 
honestly most of them are fine if you stick to the older, more established names, the new ones that pop up every month are the risky ones,

find one that's been around a few years, has games from providers you recognize, and you'll probably be okay, don't get blinded by the sign-up bonus
 
canadian support hours is a good point op raised, i'm on the west coast and it's annoying when you have an issue at 8pm and their live chat

is based in europe and closed, found one that has support agents online from like 10am to 2am eastern, which covers most of the day here

i use one that has both. the casino side is decent but the sportsbook odds aren't the greatest compared to dedicated sports betting sites. it's convenient to have it all in one place though, and you can use the same crypto wallet for everything.

yeah withdrawals are everything. i had one site that took three days to process a bitcoin cashout, never went back. found another that does it in like 20 minutes. it makes all the difference when you want your money.

this is so true. good customer support is a game changer. i've been on hold with email-only sites for days. a live chat that solves your problem in minutes is worth its weight in gold, especially if you're playing late.
