Blockchain casinos and transparency - has the promise been delivered?

totally feel you on the withdrawal speed, that's the one tangible win, but you're right, if the average player can't easily verify the fairness, how transparent is it really?

it's like having a glass door but it's locked and you lost the key, the promise feels incomplete

this is a huge point. it's called a 'front-end' trick. they show you pretty, audited code on their website, but the actual contract you interact with might be totally different. you have to verify the contract address on-chain yourself, which is another layer of complexity most won't do. so much for trustlessness.
 
i've had a decent run, the big thing for me is seeing my deposits and withdrawals on the explorer, no arguing about whether a transaction happened,

that part of blockchain casinos: transparency in gambling is real, the game fairness part is still murky unless you're a tech person
 
my experience was the opposite of erintraver, won a small amount, withdrawal in my wallet in under 10 minutes, no kyc hassle,

maybe i just got lucky with the site i picked, but it shows the experience isn't consistent even on-chain
 
people get too hung up on the tech, most just want to play and get paid fast,

the blockchain backend enables that speed and gives a public record, the provably fair stuff is a bonus for the paranoid, which in gambling, maybe we all should be a bit paranoid
